Langtang-trekking |
Langtang is a narrow
valley bordering to Tibet but still far away from Tibetan Plateau. A
trek to the Langtang valley is a great opportunity to explore
villages, climb small peaks, and to visit glaciers at comfortably
low elevations. People living here look like Tibetans. A great
influence of Tibet can be experienced in this valley. Tamang tribe
is the main settler in this region. Trekkers pass through two
different national parks while trekking in this region. The first
one is Langtang and the second is Shivapuri National Park, the only
national park in the capital city and just 20 km far away from
international airport. |
